About Immortals

We love history, and we want to increase the representation of an under-appreciated period in the UK: Achaemenid Persia (539-331 BCE). We want to show the Persians weren't just a big monstrous baddy but were a fascinating culture spanning almost an entire continent.

Founded in 2020, Immortals trains regularly to put on combat displays and living history encampments.

We welcome anyone and everyone to join!

What We Do

We pride ourselves on both entertaining guests at events, but also educating the public about the Achaemenid Persian Empire (539-331 BCE). We put on dynamic combat displays in both large arenas and small spaces, as well as provide living history encampments. We don't aim to lecture, but to put fun at the centre of everything we do!

Combat Displays

We perform exciting combat displays re-creating battles from the Greco-Persian wars. These are REAL fights, with REAL weapons! We use spears, shields, javelins, slings, and archery to create an exciting element to events!

Living History

Our camps give a taste of what it was like for Achaemenid soldiers during the 5th century BCE. We create spaces devoid of any modern trappings, which are fully interactive. Guests can ask questions, pick items up, and watch ancient crafts.

We are a tight-knit group, but we also have connections and friendships across the UK based on our activities. If you join you will be joining a community who loves this history, but who also have a deep friendship with one another.
