We were invited by SASA (Save Ancient Studies Alliance) to participate in their 'Ask an Expert' series, and we chatted about what re-enactment is, how we got into the hobby, and some of the things Immortals as a group are doing to try to combat some of the pitfalls we've experienced.
We got to show off some of our kit, and got to talk about what the good, bad, and ugly sides of re-enacting Achaemenid Persia.
As a group we're really passionate about spreading the hobby to as many people as possible, and this was a great opportunity to explain how re-enacting the ancient world can really help the goals of SASA (which is to get more people studying the ancient world).
We also got to talk about how crafting is a large part of what we do. We have regular craft nights to help members make a lot of their kit, which luckily we can continue online during the pandemic.
We could have literally talked for hours, so please get in touch if you want to hear us go on and on and on and on!
